Wow! I had actually gotten as high as 255 lbs.... and then I started Optifast.

I lost 45 lbs on the 12 weeks of just shakes, and didn't cheat once.

Now, I am 1.5 weeks into the 3 shakes plus one meal, and I am doing terribly. All of my strong cravings are coming back. I mean, I'm also in that time before my period where I usually get super starving and crave things and just want to eat all the time, and that coincided with when we started transitioning to food so that was really sucky timing. But I reeeaaalllly don't want to turn back into the binge monster that I used to be.

One the one hand I'm terrified of that happening. On the other hand, my cravings get so super strong and evil that it seems to overpower my rational thinking skills and the person that originally said I was terrified of it happening. In the moment of my hunger or cravings, it all goes out the window and I "don't care" about the end results - I just need my fix.

So once I have my first meal of the day (well, my first food meal has either been lunch or supper, with a shake before that) I end up having a second supper....and sometimes, a third. All of approved things. Well actually no - we're allowed one extra and I've been having more. Like pickled things, mustard, salsa....actually, lite mayo, and that is the worst. :(

So it's like once I start, I can't stop. I can't stop thining about food and how happy it makes me and how wonderful ugh.

It's crazy how strong these cravings are. that's why I was happy to start optifast - I needed some kind of rehab from food. But, it didn't fix me - I still get those super strong cravings the moment I eat food again. And no, I didn't go back to flours and sugars - I had beef and veggies. But the ground beef even seemed to spark wild cravings in me, wtf??? This is terrible. I'm not sure if chicken or pork did that. I guess I could just try not having ground beef for now. I already know dairy especially cheese does this, and refined flours and sugars. And I'm not having those either.

I would LLOOOOOVVVVVE to just eat normally one day. Lke, seriously.
But can I do it????????????????????
