Down to 158.6 as of last Monday. Unfortunately, I picked up a "flu bug" last Monday as well and upon testing discovered I had contacted COVID. Appetite was severely curtained as nothing tasted very good. This coming Thursday I will be tested again - hopefully get a negative reading and then 48 hrs. later test again to confirm negative reading and I will be good to go. I have lost my sense of smell as of today.

In my previous journal entry I was going off line to pursue my own dietary regime (the Sacred Heart Hospital Diet). Started June 5th and now weighed in this a.m. at 159.5. Did not lose as much as I expected but I am happy I broke the 160 lb. level. Going to continue for another week and then go back to fatsecret to keep track of my diet from there. I still have 11 lbs to go to meet my goal by end of September. I had not been exercising or walking because of the heat here in FL but I am going to begin my exercise routine today which should help.

As stated in my previous journal entry I was going to go back to the Sacret Heart Hospital diet which I started a week ago last Monday. I weighed in last Monday and I am down to 161.3 lbs - hoping to break the 160 mark at next Monday's weigh in. If I can just lose even 1 lb./wk. I will be happy because I will reach my goal weight in 13 weeks.

After my weigh-in yesterday and after following a stricter caloric intake than suggested (1500 instead of 1600/day) and entering every morsel placed in my pie hole and still not losing diddly squat - I have come to the conclusion I am wasting my time right now. I have decided to begin my old stand-by - the Sacred Heart diet - beginning on Monday, June 5th, and will stick with it until I have shed the 15 lbs. I need to lose. I used this diet back in 2017 and within 5 months I lost 65 lbs. I know the inactivity during the pandemic and also using food as my comfort source contributed to my 15 weight gain. Now I need the help of this diet to knock this extra weight gain off. I know I will be able to keep it off once I reach my goal. I did it before and I will do it again. Back to walking my 1.25 mi. each night and doing my 10 minute exercise routine twice daily. Wish me luck. I will check back in when I have reached my goal weight of 148 lbs. Well another week and still no weight loss. Sticking to the under 1500 calories/day and tracking my fat, carbs and protein. Guess I am going to try knocking it back to under 1200 cal./day and exercising a little more. I feel like I have lost weight but it certainly is not showing up on the scale.
