December 31, 2012. Starting Wednesday (Jan. 2), I'm back to a weight-loss program. I will climb 11 flights daily (M-F) and work out at the gym at least 3x per week. I will stop drinking for the month of January. And, I will avoid desserts and eat more vegetables. Let's see if that's enough. Last time I was seriously dieting, even extreme calorie reduction (1,000 - 1,200 calories per day) plus exercise had me losing, at most, a pound a week, but usually 1/2 pound. Half-pound weeks were when I fell off the diet wagon even a little.
Exercise will feel good no matter what happens with weight loss. But, I would really, really like to lose 15 pounds and get back to my ideal weight. 130 pounds for a 5'3" woman is a reasonable goal, I want to get there and stay there!

I backslid aot rhis weekend, inclyding drinking. Im going back on very loe calorie and exercise this week. I'd lke to see 140 a week from now.

Still following a strict diet and exercise. I think this 141 is probably a truer weight than the one before, because my weight was going up and down a lot, but seems to be trending down.

Last night before bed it was 142. This morning, 140.3. So, 141 seems to be in there somewhere. I did really well on my diet when planning and preparing my own meals, much worse when eating out. Pretty good for a holiday weekend (although it's not over yet).
