Recovering happily from a 10K walk by the ocean yesterday. Took a little less than 3 hours. Burned 1,072 calories and made my 3500 daily goal for the first time. Concerned it took so much to reach this daily goal and how to maintain level of daily activity. Nursing swollen ankle now.

I'm following the tips from Prevention.com.
Last year I cancelled my subscription to Women's Health, etc because it occurred to me that EVERY plan would work, it was just a matter of me DOING the plan. So I pledged not to subscribe to another magazine until I have actually made some good habits for myself, not just followed a fad.
It's good to finally have a reward that's not a night out drinking or dining.

PREEEETTY FRUSTRATED!
Ever since I've added weight training and the Couch-to-5k Running program, all I've done is gain. Refusing to record any weight until I'm back under 190.
SCREAMED bloody murder when the scale actually had the audacity to tip over 200. I was horrified. I'm a moderately active woman. However, now in my late 30s, this move back to suburbia after living in a walking-friendly city has been torturous.
Downgrading to half-caf coffee as I wean myself onto Green Tea. Have discovered Green Tea Lattes (skinny, no foam) as a welcome welcome replacement.
Drinking less than once a week. Sticking to red wines and 50-calorie mixed drinks like a Gimlet.
Biggest fallback, stopped recording in my food diary. Indeed the accountability wasn't there and it's shown in the upward movement of the scale.
Le sigh.

Grr! Missed this week's goal weight by .1 !!! Really wanted to get back out the 90s. Was definitely watching my calories, though didn't document in the food diary (lots of eating out). But made better choices, such as, checked out this Five Guys burger place everyone raves about. But, chose a single patty hamburger not cheeseburger, massive veggies on it, mustard instead of ketchup, shared a small fry with vinegar instead of ketchup, and bottled water instead of soda. Was SO satisfied. Workouts were pitiful, however. That .1 is my punishment for it.
