This is going to be harder than I thought. We moved last Oct, to the coast of SC. My dream has always been to live at the beach and we are 10 min from the beach now. I am loving it, but neither of our boys opted to come with us, so I haven't done a lot of cooking. Especially when I was exhausted from unpacking and organizing a new house. Well, that has settled down, but we've had my MIL come visit before Christmas, so my hubby wanted to treat her out a few times. Now my youngest son is visiting for a few weeks, so even though I have cooked more since he's here (he misses my cooking 😍), we've also gone out several times. Hubby wanted to see the new Spiderman movie today. Went to a matinee and took the boy out to one of our favorite seafood restaurants. They have the best fried shrimp and hush puppies around here, so it's hard to be good when going there. Even tho I didn't eat much today in preparation for tonight, I still ate way too much. I've got to figure out how to control myself when we eat out. We have a lot of friends coming to visit and friends we hang out with when they come down here to their second home. I have been able to exercise a little more lately. Sunny days and mild weather and my son likes to walk with me, whether we go to the beach or just walk around our neighborhood. I'm taking the exercise part slowly, because I had Covid a month before we moved and I still have issues breathing sometimes and I've dealt with fatigue several days this past week. I forced myself to push through and take a walk on the beach one day, actually made it about two miles. Was feeling it by the last half mile, but I definitely felt better after I rested once we got back home. I keep reminding myself that I feel better when I make myself exercise, even if I don't have a ton of energy. I've also been dealing with a lot of pain in my back, neck and shoulders, which I'm hoping will improve once I start strength training again. I did some PT for my neck and shoulders, so I know what I can do to help and I don't need to be afraid to use weights. I deal with mild depression this time of year too, which I have to fight through. Winter has always been difficult for me. It's not quite as cold here as it is in the mountains, but we're getting hit by the cold fronts coming through, so it's colder than usual here. The cold makes me want to just hibernate. Anyway, I'm determined to stick with this again, for the sake of my health and well being.

I'm sure this is just water weight, at this point. I haven't stayed under my caloric goal yet, but I'm sure I'm eating less calories than before. Plus, I haven't had any alcohol since NYE.

Major surgery, selling/buying a house and moving and a hateful virus has left this body in bad shape. I have got to get myself back down to a healthier weight and to a stronger body.
