It's funny - I thought 1) I haven't been this big in years; 2) That I'd lost a lot of weight recently (turns out it was just cutting what I'd gained; 3) that 5 years ago I was less flabby (according to journal entries, I called myself flabby). These were surprising to me. What I also see is that I eat much healthier - more fruits and veggies, less short-term dieting "tricks"; I feel good and although I fluctuate, I have remained relatively stable (+/-5 lbs), whether I lose in a healthy way or by some fad diet. I feel all right about all of this but I will use the health testing at Jimmy's work as a better gauge of my health. I also feel I work out a LOT harder and more often just to "maintain" the 146-ish area. Although, I no longer play organized softball and my excercise is more limited to walking/joggin.

I hope to take this information and use it as a motivational tool to seriously lose weight. If I can gain and lose 5 lbs. every few months, then I can stop gaining and just lose. If I had only lost the 5 lbs. per year (rather than lose then gain it back), I'd be at my goal weight and thinner than I've been since before getting pregnant with Maya, which was approx. 125 lbs.
