I have actually been on a ketogenic diet for a month before joining Fatsecret.Com and had some success with it. I'd started on December 27th 2013 weighing 376 lbs and have since then lost 37 lbs. My original diet was practically the opposite of keto. I was eating a "Mediterranean" type diet of primarily fruits, vegetables and whole grains but my partner, who weighed 670 lbs at the time, made the decision exactly 1 month ago to commit himself to a ketogenic diet. I plunged in with him, researching it, making food lists, changing everything I ate in order to create a single type of diet for the two of us to share.

My partner lost 37 lbs in less than 4 weeks. I lost over 10. Being disabled with fibromyalgia and related health problems, I've started devoting all my free time to researching foods, recipes, and related topics. The two of us live on $365 a month in food stamps. I'm creating a cook book/guide book on how to successfully have a ketogenic diet that can be supported successfully on an average of $75-$80 a week in groceries. It is going to include three types of foods: vegetarian, carne (all-meat) and mixed to accomodate different eating styles.
