Hi there. My name is Jess, I am almost 23; and a Psychology & Criminology University student. I started on my fitness and health lifestyle over-hall just over a year ago, as my weight had crept up over-time, I din't feel good on the inside or in my clothes, so I decided to change the healthy way; no fad-dieting. Over the past year or so, I have lost 10.8kg; by working out 5 or 6 times a week, with a mixture of endurance cardio (running, cycling,rowing, cross-trainer) hiit training (circuits, boxing, insanity, skipping). I also strength train for half an hour or so before or after cardio; and mix in legs and abs training with my workouts, every other day. I also do a couple of fitness classes a week when I get time. I eat 3 healthy meals a day (including carbs, good fats, protein and fibre) with 2/3 fairly healthy snacks. I have dropped 2 dress sizes, lost inches everywhere, and generally look like i have lost more weight than the scales tell me I have. I seem to have hit a bit of a plateau recentely, no matter how much I work out hard, change up my routine, eat healthier, cut out all junk and alcoholic drinks, I can't seem to loose anymore pounds on the scales, with my stomach being my main problem area; gathering the most fat. Even when I was a small size, I was still heavier on the scales than I looked. It it quite frustrating, as I do work so hard; but I am having trouble shifting these last 6kg. I know the number on the scales aren't everything, I am strong, healthy, and my fitness levels are good; but it is a little disheartening. I won't give up though, fitness is a big part of my life and I enjoy it (I do love letting my hair down too though, haha. Any tips, or advice would be massively appreciated, and I will do the same for you :) Keep it up guys!
