Wednesday weigh-in: Down 2.5 😊 and I finally had a negative Covid test yesterday. I believe upping my calories from 1200 to 1400 helped my progress. I was reading an article yesterday about that very subject; it caught my eye because the headline was, "Is 1200 Calories a Day Enough?" I don't think it was for me but I think it is also because I have been hitting my macros every day. I am blessed to be retired and able to have the time required for detailed meal planning and cooking. I am finally over halfway to my goal and at my lowest weight for a long time❣️

Wednesday weigh-in: ⬇️⬇️ Down 2 pounds again! Also, for the first time, I tested positive for Covid Saturday. I had a headache late Thursday that I had to get up and take Tylenol and I haven't had a headache in years! My 5 days of isolation are up but I still had a positive test this morning. I haven't felt bad and have had no loss of appetite. I have had a little nasal congestion and a slight dry cough. It feels more like allergies. 😒😷🤧

Wednesday weigh-in: Up half a pound. 😒 I hope my system is still adjusting to the new WOE and that I can actually lose weight on this diet. Happy Valentine's Day! 💕

Wednesday weigh-in: Down a half a pound, anyway. 👍🏻 I weighed 188 on December 27 before my doctor visit on December 29 when he put me on the DASH diet; I weighed 186 that day. The next day, because of all the new things I would be eating, namely carbs, I raised my daily calories from 1200 to 1400 and set my macros at the standard version of the diet at C 55% - F 27% - P 18. On January 1 I adjusted my macros to C 48 - F 27 - P 25 when I found an article by the National Institute of Health describing a study by OmniHeart which tested three different versions of the diet, one was the standard DASH diet, one increased the protein, and one increased the fat. I chose the version with slightly higher protein. So far, this has been an adventure and I am enjoying all the new foods and new recipes! 😋
