I have decided to create an account to start on some various challenges on this site. Not really for "motivation", as I've been motivated all summer, but just to show others what I have accomplished :)

I haven't lost THAT much weight since the beginning of summer (about 10 pounds in total), but two days ago, I decided I would take it a thousand steps forward. My family can't afford special diets for me or anything, but I figured it would still be beneficial for me to start counting calories, eating about 2000-2200 each day, as my body burns about 2900-3000 on a regular day. This, combined with all of the vigorous exercising I've been doing all summer, means that I should lose anywhere between half a pound to two pounds per week! I started out strong, but in the wrong direction. I figured I could just work as hard as possible by exercising, and the pounds would come flying off. Unfortunately, I was still just eating whatever I felt like whenever I felt like it (wasn't THAT much, but probably a good 2800-3200 calories each day). As such, I've gotten much better physically; able to do about 100 push-ups, run a 5K, etc., but I still weigh around 220 pounds! It's a good step down from the 228-230 I weighed when I first started, but for 11 weeks, I think I could do better.

Nutrition is the most important part of losing weight... just creating a deficit of anywhere between 400-800 calories can let you lose a whole pound of weight EVERY WEEK without even taking one step outside. Anywho, I feel like I'll hit my goal weight very soon with all of the motivation I've been giving myself, and since I've already been exercising for the past 11 weeks or so, I shouldn't have much of a problem changing up my diet that much.

May I reach my goal weight of about 180-195, and may everyone else reach their goals as well!
