05 April 2012

Pretty sure this is about the 20th time I've tried to go on a diet. Obviously, it hasn't gone well in the past before. As soon as I have two bad days in a row, I just lose all motivation and give up. This time I can't let small mistakes deter me from my goals! (Or better yet... let's not make any mistakes?). This time I am hoping it will be different..

I'm finishing up my freshman year in college and unfortunately I fell victim to the dreaded "freshman 15". I came here about 140 pounds and now am about 155. My goal isn't just to lose that 15 pounds though- because even before I had started college, I wasn't happy with my weight. In fact, I think the last time I was completely happy with my weight was the summer of 2009. Thats THREE years ago! I believe I was about 135 pounds then. I want to be happy like that again.

So my goal is to lose about 25 pounds and get down to 130 pounds. I want to do this in 4 months, which I think is a very reasonable goal. This time frame is basically because in 1 month, I will start my internship in Dallas Texas, which will last for 3 month. So I am hoping that after I come back from Dallas, I can come back a new person!

I want to lose the first 10 pounds in the five weeks. I know that it won't be easy, but I would really like to start off my internship feeling good about myself. Plus, I know that losing 2 pounds a week is doable because I've done it before. Then, over the 3 months of my internship, I can focus on losing the last 15-20 pounds.

Now- April 20th: Focus on eating right. (Unfortunately this is finals period. Not a lot of exercise is going to get done, so lets not kid ourselves here...) [2 weeks- 3 pounds]

April 21st-May 12th: Eat right and exercise HARD EVERY DAY! (I'll be back at home with literally nothing to worry about) [3 weeks- 7 pounds]

May 13th- August 3rd: Internship! Eat right & exercise when you can!! [3 months- 15 to 20 pounds]
