Day 36 - 45 min/13.3 miles/136 watts/73 rpms

Woohoo. 136 watts is the highest average resistance I've had since I jumped on the bike (and that's on a 45 minute ride) My body is definitely getting conditioned to these workouts, and they feel like they're getting easier and easier. I also threw up my Apple Watch badges. I like these little tokens of achievement to help keep me motivated.

I want to thank you guys and gals. All of the nameless, and some faceless, people who take the time to like and comment on my progress. Though we'll likely never meet or connect on social media, your support definitely drives me forward as opposed to holding myself accountable. Love seeing everyone's progress towards their weight loss journeys or exercise goals. Very rare it is that you find a medium that is so positive all the way around. Ok, now I can go and update my dietary info to trick myself into thinking I didn't have all those calories yesterday. :)

Day 35 - 44 minutes/12.5 miles/124 watts/78 rpms

As hard as yesterday's ride was, this one was just as easy. I think my body was telling me I needed a rest day. 100 more calories were burned today and I don't feel terrible coming off the bike like I did on Wednesday.

My belly is almost gone. What I mean is.. it was sticking out so bad at 260 and my mobility was limited, from bending over and rotating to just getting out of a chair. It "feels" flat. I'm also choosing to wait until after surgery to begin my weight program again. I just know that weight training always makes me feel better overall as opposed to just cardio workouts. Can't believe how fast 35 days flew by. It will suck when I have to stop for a few weeks, but I should be better on the other side of this back issue.

I'm actually starting to see grass outside instead of snow. 43 and sunny today. Hoping for a round of golf before March 9th. HAGD all.

Day 33 - 42min/11.5 miles/111 watts/72 rpms

Today was HARD. I was falling asleep on the way home from work last night, and didn't wake up until 10ish. My watts are way down because it's getting harder to maintain the resistance deep into the ride. It won't matter because the calories are 500+ out every ride now.

So here are my mileage totals for the last 3 weeks worth of rides. I didn't record my mileage for the first 15 days for whatever reason.. (and you can take that kilometer crap and stuff it!)

Day 16-22 - 7 days-55.1 miles
Day 23-29 - 7 days-71.3 miles
Day 30-33 - 4 days-45.9 miles

I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week now, and I'm finally 10 lbs down from my starting weight from Jan 20th. The bike challenge combined with regimented eating is definitely working. I had a huge piece of cheesecake my wife left in the fridge last night because I was around 2000 cals in for the whole day and I'm confident that my consistency on the bike will make up for any extra intake. Back at it again tomorrow...
