Just keeping this real since I’ll want to look back one day and wonder why I have a gain or plateau for a week or more and I obviously don’t journal my food. 😳
The next few days are going to be stressful. My 7 year old is having surgery tomorrow morning and I’ve done a lot of prep for meals, cleaning, etc. I’m trusting Christ to get my family through this. While that is happening, I’m going to confess that I’m not going to be perfect. I’ll probably eat over my macros in “safe” foods but my goal Is to just eat “safe” foods no matter how much. I’ve already packed a lunch for myself at the hospital, hopefully I’ll actually eat it. So if I gain a pound or 5, I’m going to be ok with that. The reality is, I probably won’t eat enough, which still makes me gain. So, even though I’m so close to my wonderland goal before Valentine’s Day, it may have to wait a few weeks. I feel so much healthier, energetic and more active than I have In 13 years (having 3 more kids in that time frame, of course didn’t help) and actually feel like I’m already there. I’ve also dropped my fast and exercise for this week to keep stress on my body minimal (I have adrenal fatigue, graves, hashimotos and chronic fatigue), hoping to resume those next week or the week after.
If you’re reading this and are a praying person, I’d appreciate prayers. This is a repeat surgery, so there is an increased risk for complications. I’ve kept my kids home for a week to avoid illness. I have cold symptoms today, please pray my 7 year old doesn’t exhibit any tomorrow. They will cancel the surgery and reschedule which could be another 3 months making the surgery more complicated and riskier.
Whatever may be, His will be done.
