I seem to be back on track. sharply limiting my sugar, especially sodas, is helping a lot.

After months of not getting into the gym (schedules really didn't allow it unless I wanted to go at 10pm), followed by nearly a month of near constant fast food while I move and remodel my new house, I've gained weight more than ever. Since schedules are settling down, and moving is over, I am once again starting up my calorie counting. I've noticed that it is the only way that I've ever lost weight and as long as I stick to it, it's a good method. Today I'm below half of my total calories after lunch so I'm doing good. Let's see how bad dinner will be...

I can definitively say that I totally ignored my meal plan for the last week or two. That said, I still lost a few pounds (yay me!). I credit it all to moving. It's horrible on diets, but all of the activity burnt off the utter excess that I had consumed. Trouble now is to get back onto my diet plan... so far it's been difficult.
