Right, 7 weeks to go until my holiday in Portugal and I want to lose some weight, at least 7lb, if not more. Would like to lose about 10lbs, but that might be stetching it a bit, and knowing my previous dieting attempts, could be impossible!!
I would also like to lose at least 4lbs before 23 September as that is when I will be seeing Maggie Hackney, the clinical exercise practitioner. I am currently 'following' the GI plan and doing 10,000 steps a day.
My 10,000 steps plan is currently levelling out at around 6200 per day, but for me to even get anywhere near the 4lb weight loss I am hoping to achieve, I need to get my steps closer to 10,000. From Monday 13 September, I am going to try and aim for 8500 to 9000 steps. I should achieve this by going for a walk at lunchtime for at least 20 mins and using the stairs, even if it means just walking up and down two flights for no reason. I will try and do this at least 3 times during the day.
So my goal is from Monday 13 September:
1. Get back on the GI plan as closely as possible, try and get Gary to cook healthier meals!!
2. Increase my steps to between 8500 - 9000 a day
3. Walk up and down two flights of stairs at work, at least 3 times a day (to reach my steps goal)
4. Lose 2lb or more by Sunday 19 September.
5. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, eat at least 2 portions of fruit and 3 portions of veg.
