It's funny because it never really hit me that I was borderline overweight. That is, until today, when I realized my heart rate was over 160...for a 10 minute mile, and that it was taking forever for my heart rate to decrease. My pants were getting tighter, but I wasn't gaining weight on top, so I suppose it just didn't click. Now, I realize my body is trying to send a signal to me that I am not in the best health. I have been a size 8 on bottom for three years now, and am realizing that, while in itself that's within a healthy range, the slightest weight gain makes a huge difference in my appearance. I need to gain discipline and dedicate myself to living a healthier life. It's time for me to start taking more responsibility towards my own health.
