Feels good to be getting back on track now. Went over to Wallyworld, got the last immersion blender they had. Found a huge Bubba mug on clearance. Found organic canned pumpkin, spice and truvia...and Voila! Made a fresh pot of Italian espresso blend, popped in 2 eggs, 1/4 c canned pumpkin, 1 tsp of spice, 2 TBS of coconut oil, Truvia (to taste), and some HWC. Poured the coffee in and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ'd it twice. I added in a teensy bit of that DaVinci SF vanilla syrup stuff, and it did the trick. After making way too much, I poured some over a bowl with chia seeds, so its making coffee-flavored "tapioca" now. It just feels so good to finally have some control over the sugar monster, hunger monster, and craving monster. Geez! I've been living in a nightmarish Monsters Inc movie! Ahhhhhhhhhh! hahaha!

Sitting here, have a small builletproof coffee, it dawned on me that I no longer have my trusty immersion blender. Pre-fire, I used to make some pretty awesome coffee drinks. And, I really had a craving for my own concoction I nicknamed the "Liquid Chicken Latte". A variation of it involved adding in a 2 TBS of pumpkin puree and some pumpkin pie spice...which I really miss at the moment. Being a part time farmer/rancher, I had a massive garden of organic, heirloom veggie garden- including pumpkins. I'd store them in the root cellar, and grab one, cook it, scoop out the flesh, and freeze it in little ziploc bags. That was my stash for making the drink, and pies for the family. Of course, that all went up in flames. The fire didn't get in the root cellar per se, but, the heat and smoke damage was pretty bad- so a lot had to be tossed out. I guess I will have to buy some canned pumpkin and an immersion blender, and go from there. (My hens are laying plenty of eggs now, so we got the "liquid chicken" component down.)
Now, this line of thinking has me going in another direction today. I want to order my heirloom seeds for this Spring!!! Not that I have a place to really start the seeds now...but if I could get a few pumpkins going...that would be dandy! There is so much to be done first, though. We are hoping to get the remaining piles of stuff out of the yard this week, and remove the porch area still attached to the foundation. Then we can begin adding fill to the area surrounding the house, and get the upper parts of the existing walls reinforced with some rebar and concrete. By that time, we should have some firm quotes on the truss package, wall package, and possibly the HVAC and plumbing. I might want to interview the electrical contractors myself. I have machinery that will go in my workshop which requires 220 outlets, and maybe a 3 phase outlet. I will need to discuss options with them. Got plenty to take care of now, and there is no place for emotional eating. So....off we go! Have a blessed day, everyone!

So, Ummm....I'm not going to weigh in just yet. See, uh, the Easter Bunny kidnapped me while I was sleeping, and force fed me jelly beans in the middle of the night; then he dropped me off at the condo just before dawn. The dog dragged me back into my bed where I stayed in a sugar induced coma for 2 days. When I awoke, I felt awful, and thought it was all a bad dream. When I got on the scales, reality hit. And I am so incredible mad that all my guns burned in the house fire, because I can't shoot that darn bunny now! That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

On a good note, we met with the insurance adjuster yesterday, and it looks like they're going to give us the policy limits on the house, and also on the contents. Whew! That content list was a doozy. 109 pages, and I STILL forgot alot! Spent the last couple of days sifting through the last pile of ashes. Found more pictures, but never found my Mom's ring. We found all the books that were sitting on the shelf next to the ring holder. I found my dipping tools and tempering machine parts that were right below that shelf. And, I even found pictures that were propped up on the shelf above it. But, no ring. Guess I wasn't meant to find it. Finally found the remnants of the piano. Hubby had lifted a huge chunk of mass with the excavator, and BOING! There were wire strings flying all over- like bouncy spaghetti. Now that that chapter is closing, and all the ruins can be hauled out, we're focusing on three things: Quotes from the truss companies; fortifying the existing foundation; and raising the ground level by the new entrance. I should say, that's what hubby is focusing on. I am focusing on cleaning the existing stone fireplace, coming up with an alternate exterior for the house (since no one likes my original choice); and then, pricing all the options. yippee. No stress eating involved there, though. So onward and downward with the weight, and onward and upward with a new house! Have a blessed day!

Why oh Why oh why oh WHY ....must they put jelly beans on sale where I can see them????? I LOVE JELLY BEANS. Plain or spice-- doesn't matter. I love them all! I love them so much, guess what we had for party favors at our wedding??? Nope...couldn't have chocolate truffles or little mints like everyone else. I HAD TO HAVE JELLYBEANS. I splurged though...and actually had Jelly Bellies. =) The point here is...I have a weakness, and Jelly Beans are it. Those little colorful balls of sugary goodness mixed with toxic food coloring and flavorings ..just call my name. And so I almost succombed. Managed to get away with only 5 of the little ones. My struggle is, sitting here at the table, doing this blasted inventory list...I just need some munchies. And damn. They're just sitting over there in the grocery bag.... a;seofnaldvjkaler bgaer;guiarfg;klbjasdf;jnkdv ba brgjioagjlbf A:Jnalsnk!!!!! I don't know what to do!!! ARGH!!!! HELP!!!! THEY'RE COMING TO GET ME..........:+0
