About one month ago, I joined the Quick Weight Loss Center here in Atlanta. I weighed 257 pounds when I started the program. I have lost nearly 15 pounds since. The plan seems to be a modified South Beach plan. It is working for me so far. Time will tell how well it works long term. However, the biggest benefit to me is the disciplined eating. I don't feel starved but I don't count calories. The focus is on lean protein (chicken breast, ground turkey breast, ground sirloin, flounder), veggies(broccoli and cauliflower), and fruit (apples, pineapples, and strawberries). I eat some carbs like 40 calorie bread, ak-mak crackers and Melba toast. I drink at least 68-90 ounces of water daily. I try to avoid eating out, but QWL gives me instructions and guidance when I need to eat out. And once a week, I treat myself to a cheat meal!
