My bike has been SO hard to pedal the last three days. My quads are on fire, I'm taking shorter routes and down shifting on flat ground. What is going on?? Welp day1 I should have figured out that the back tire was low on air. So now I just feel stupid because the tire was almost completely flat 🤦♀️ Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself. I only have 2 more work days left til summer! Surviving on coffee these days. Happy Friday

In the kitchen's dance, amidst pots and pan,
Lily, with hopeful eyes, takes her stand.

For the culinary treasure, her eager nose to tag.
As aromas fill the air, enticing and divine,
Her anticipation grows, a hunger so benign.
With each chop and sizzle, her attention keen,
For the moment of delight, when food shall intervene.
Her loyalty unwavering, by my side she stays,
In the symphony of cooking, in our culinary maze.
With a gentle nudge, she reminds me of her plea,
To drop a morsel or two, for her jubilant glee.
Oh, Lily, faithful friend, with eyes so bright,
In this kitchen realm, your presence is a delight.
For in the midst of chaos, you bring joy so pure,
Waiting for those moments when I drop a culinary lure.

Been walking on the beach lately. This is my favorite time of year on the beach here. The water is warm and clear and the tourists have gone home. It sure is beautiful this place I call home

Yesterday I was very sore... I warmed up with a 1 mile bike ride, I did my hour of weight training. I powerwalked 2 miles in the hottest part of the day, did a 45 minute HIIT class after an early dinner. Finally another 2 mile bike ride in the evening. I slept 7 hours last night and I feel great today.
