I'm down 5.6 lb for the week. El yay! I'm a little surprised because yesterday I ate more than normal when we ended up at Applebee's. I figured the extra fat and sodium from that meal would have me showing little to no progress. All of my meals last week with exception to two were vegan. Thus, 89.5% of the time I am eating vegan. Over half of those were raw vegan (Breakfast & lunches). There were a few dinners with processed food (ie. soy meat substitutes) My exercise was around the same level as always (avg. 45 min elliptical Mon-Fri morning) coupled with slowly running at least a 5K four times per week in the afternoons or on weekend days. I still have quite a bit more to lose of the post-baby fatness to get back to where I was on track before baby #3 rocked my world. He is officially 19 months old now. I clearly had a slow start getting back on track. But, the numbers are going the right direction finally. I'm going to try to do the same thing this week to see whether the drop was just a fluke.

*I've joined a couple vegan blogs and websites for recipe ideas. While I am utilizing the vegan diet for health purposes, I can't say that I subscribe to the vegan lifestyle. One website went on and on about whether it was ethical to ride horses while another was focusing on whether it was ethical to eat unfertilized eggs from a free-range chicken or to let the eggs rot. Yeah...I don't want to seem condescending, especially since the diet seems to be working so far, but I live on a horse farm. I've grown up riding horses my entire life. I don't see myself ever giving up horseback riding or debating the ethics of rotting eggs from free-range chickens. That being said, I appreciate people who are passionate about ideas even if I disagree with those ideas.
