My mother once told me ... 'if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.'

I am focused on SIMPLE MATH and doing my best NOT to be flustered by a gain for three consecutive days when I have clearly expended more calories than I have consumed.

My automobile smells funny ... like something is burning, even though the gauges all read normal. It is at the shop right now.

Oh do I ever need a vacation!! LOL!!! I think I must be in the pre-vacation stress zone. I really do have control issues ... that is why I spend so much time focused on what to be grateful for, staying in the moment, and recognizing that life is PROCESS not PRODUCT and I will NEVER actually be 'done.'

I'm okay though ... honest I am!!! Soon I'll be wiggling my toes in the sand and feeling the tropical warmth of the Mexico sun!! The highs have been in the mid 80's ... the forecast sounds absolutely marvelous!!

Today I am grateful for ...

1. 4 days of work and then VACATION
2. being asked to participate in an interesting training this year that takes place over 4 separate weekends ... with all expenses PAID
3. being aware of how frustrated I am and continuing to place one foot in front of the other
4. despite the snow over the weekend the roads are none the worse for wear!!
5. a brisk walk back to the office from the car dealership this morning

LOL!!! Yes, I have had consecutive days like that too, although some of the exercise numbers you have been posting have been really good. Perhaps you are building muscle mass, I believe that I read something about exercise causing the body to hang on to water after a time but cannot recall the details exactly at the moment (not just that it weighs more but a connection with water retention, I *believe*). Insofar as the simple math is concerned, unless the numbers are wrong to begin with, there is not much else you can do my dear! ;-) I was reading a news article the other day where the 3,500 calories in a pound of fat calculation was being called into question by some researchers, but it seemed inconclusive.

Indeed Info ... a girl can only do what a girl can do!! I just need to learn to roll with it ... which I was doing pretty well at until this morning ... LOL!!! My numbers might not be perfect but they are pretty darn close. I've been really trying to keep better numbers ... it is just too easy to grab a bite of this or that and not count it and THEN wonder why the scale doesn't budge. That said ... I will not be counting during vacation BUT I do plan on using the exercise room!!! @ Cindy ... YES I am leaving!! LOL!!! I'll actually be in Phoenix for a layover!! LOL!!! And I will dip my toes in the water JUST for you!!

I never cease to be amazed at how quickly calories add up. But, anyway, your math looks really good to me lately. I'm going to miss you when you leave moose, even though I realize it's not going to be for *that* long.
