I am down to 132! That means I've OFFICIALLY passed the halfway point of my weight loss goals! I've lost 8, with 7 more to go!
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!
To be honest, I can't believe this is actually happening. This is the first time I've ever tried to lose weight, and I really thought it was going to be almost impossible. I assumed the only way to lose weight was to kill myself in the gym and eat lettuce all day. But it turns out it was more about small, simple changes: replacing bad habits with good ones. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't easy to learn to eat slowly and it REALLY wasn't easy to accept the fact that I'd been eating portions large enough to support an adult lion. But forcing myself to recognize my problem areas and actually do something about it has made all the difference.
And yes, it's taken 3 months to lose those 8 lbs. And it'll probably take 3 more months to lose the next 7. But I'm not in a rush... I'd rather do this the right way, and in a way I can maintain for the rest of my life. 8 down, 7 to go. Slow and steady!

YAY KIMMY! I wish you would log into a food diary. Workouts are easy for me, but like you pointed out, I have yet to get ahold of my eating. But you never post! Would love to see exactly what you're eating so I could implement some of it into my daily routine!

I know I know... I avoid logging because I'm trying to develop a personal fitness program that I can maintain for the rest of my life, and food logging is just not something I want to put the time or effort into on a daily basis for the next 70 years. BUT if it will help you, I'll try to be better about it, at least for a week so you can get an idea of what I eat. I'll go ahead and start logging today's food now!
