Today, I got up before 8 and feel pretty darn good. A lot of it is mental. For the first time in ages, I don't feel overwhelmed with a lot of loose ends. I'm caught up on most of my work. KB has good help 5 days a week, so that responsibility has been lessened. We got house cleaners to tackle some of the grimiest jobs in our house (like window cleaning), which had been vexing me for ages. And our daughter is coming home for a 1-week visit in a few days.

I've hit a weight-loss plateau but at least I'm not gaining. I am certain I need to add exercise to make more progress, and totally cut out refined carbs. My current weight, 210-211, seems to be a natural set-point for my body, so I'm not surprised I'm stuck here, but I know it will eventually go down if I control my calories. I still feel a tad bloated, and that's pushing me to schedule the hysterectomy. Don't really want it, but I think I will ultimately need it whether I lose weight or not.

Visited my BBQ buddy yesterday, and she asked me to pick up her favorite petits fours for dessert. I picked up a dozen and allowed Mr C and me only 2 apiece. Gave her the other 8. My friend doesn't have blood sugar problems even though she eats a lot of sweets, but she smokes like a chimney and is now having signs of dementia at age 72. Makes me sad, and makes me realize I need to do everything I can to not go that route.
210.8 lb Lost so far: 1.2 lb.    Still to go: 60.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
