frank bend's Journal, 31 July 2016

switched plan shortly after last journal entry. frustrated after 3 weeks and not even a gain of one ounce. decided to follow my parents and grand parents way of feeding us. meat, potatoes, bread, whole milk. it worked, 3lb gain.
this was my dinner meal, all others were as usual. continued to watch my carbs to avoid a sugar spike. this plan pushed me up 2200 calories+.also my saturated fats were up 200% of dv.
had to quit plan for awhile due to a mild stomach virus. maintained a calorie level so as not to lose weight.
I noted that milk was considered nature's most perfect food by many. calorie breakdown 49% fat, 30% carbs, and 21% protein. when I tested a couple of days of my 2200+ calories it came very close to milk.
I also noted that calories played a big role whether to gain or lose weight, while it has been hotly debated on the mix, I think calorie amount is probably the most consistent thing we know, at least for my body needs and I suspect for many others. stay tuned!
138.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.5 lb a week
