So the meals are going well. I am becoming satisfied (or unhungry) on the smaller portions, but I always want to eat more after each meal. This week marks one month and I was hopping by now I would be so use to the new eating style that I wouldn’t feel like I was on a diet. But I am still thinking about food ALL THE TIME and still have to measure and weigh everything, because I still can’t judge accurately (even though I try to guess the measurement before I weigh my food every time). So perhaps it is going to take two three or ever four month before this lifestyle change is just a way of living rather than a lot of WORK to restrict my eating.

On the positive side, I am loving healthy food. I have learned a lot of new recipes and I am enjoying more fruits and veggies than ever before. I find it easy to choose healthy foods. Also, I have become a pre at reading labels so that helps me make smart choices.
And the best news of all, IT IS WORKING! My blood pressure is well within normal limits. My blood sugar is way down. And my weight is steadily going down.

The running has been great. This week I am going to add the weight training to my workout schedule. I am worried that this is cause me to gain weight, but all the runner’s magazines and experts say it is necessary to do weight training to prevent running injuries. I was running every day. So now I am going to get with the standard program and run 3-4 days a week and alternate weight training in between. (Little concerned about Christmas because I was fine when I thought I had to pack my running shoes when I go home fore Christmas, but how to you pack weights?)

Overall, after one month, I feel like this is the plan for me. I feel better than ever with the exercise and I am happy about the weightless and I love wearing clothes and feeling great. In the next month I want to master; handling holiday parties; vacationing at my parents place on my new eating plan (when everyone else is on the old style of eating and cooking); and making weight training a staple in my life. And maybe I will even tackle restaurants (I haven’t eaten out since I started my new lifestyle).
