strosnam's Journal, 06 January 2010

Im attributing this rapid weight loss to being VERY strict at following my points. I do feel that I was up a little bit from the holidays. Being home from school was difficult for me. I tended to eat everything in sight. Now that I have returned to school I am able to manage a little bit better.

Good Morning Strosnam. Congratulations on your quick success. I, too, am a Weight Watchers Points person who lost 23 pounds total. I attained Lifetime in April 2008 and have managed to stay within the allotted range for over 1 1/2 years. However, this past holiday season I was home for 10 days and did exactly what you confessed to -- ate everything in sight. This caused a weight gain of about five unwanted pounds. I'm in total agreement with you that strictly tracking points makes all the difference in the world. I'm one of those people that needs to be accountable to stay within my boundaries. Good luck on your weight loss journey. Galeyn

Galeyn - Congrats on attaining your lifetime Award. What a great accomplishment. During my first experience with weight watchers (about 12 years ago)I lost over 40pounds and I too attained Lifetime membership. I have always kept the points in the back of my head and been able to keep my weight in check. However, over the last 4 years (with a much happier relationship)my weight has slowly started to creep up. A pound here and a couple there. When I got on the scales after the holiday...it finally hit me - I really need to get back onthe boat. So, once again the journaling and strict counting has begun. :) I think I have resolved myself that my weight will be a lifelong struggle for me. I too wish you continues success in your maintenance journey! Amy
