Desiree Wright's Journal, 21 October 2009

Last night I planned ahead after my grocery shopping. I packed enough healthy options to get me through the day. I'm excited about putting whole foods in my house and clearing out the processed junk we've been eating. Tonight we're having spaghetti squash- always nice to figure out ways to enjoy Italian foods without all the belly busting carbs. Last night's portabella pizza caps were delicious and I felt really good about feeding those to my daughter and I. My son required a separate dinner since he wouldn't touch the mushrooms. I made him a mozzeralla and sauce grilled cheese, but he didn't eat that either. He ended up on apples and grapes before bed. Ryane had some too. At least that's full of vitamins and such. I sucked on exercise last night. Didn't get to it. Felt pretty guilty about it as I laid in bed watching "The Biggest Loser" for 2 hours. If I could get the kids to bed without having to lay down with them, I'd probably squeeze a workout in during my favorite shows at night :( I'll have to work on that. Either that, or start using the DVR to record it, and get us back to the YMCA as a family.
