When I started this weight loss journey in January of 2015, I started at 176 pounds! YIKES. I did not know about this site though until yesterday where I am now at 152.2. I would love nothing better than to say it was super hard or super easy but neither would be true. But I will tell you what helped me this far is a book I bought by James Anderson called The Simple Diet. Basically, in a nut-shell, it is 3 diet shakes a day, 2 frozen entrees, and 5 servings (cups) of fruits and veggies a day. I did NOT add any exercise; just the food plan and lost weight effortlessly. I LOVE this plan. It has really worked well for me. I actually got to a point where I was losing weight too fast and had to slow it down a bit (ironic but true). Well now, I feel I have to move away from that platform and learn how to apply the portion control to food prepared by me, for me. I know though, if I falter, I can always go back but for now, this one is on me! So the journey I am on now is trying to not depend on prepared or packaged food and instead depend on me making and preparing my own food and maybe a few Subway sandwiches here and there! And so, the journey continues....
