I've entered week six of intermittent fasting and not drinking alcohol. It's really working well. In fact, I'm about 5 lbs lighter than I thought I'd be at this point. I feel great and sleep well, so I'm not worried.

TBH, I've missed beer. Not the effects, but the taste. I really love the flavour. And now, we have an option! A Canadian brewer, Central City near Vancouver BC, has four .5 options including an IPA that actually tastes like an IPA. It's not super strong like a Rogue Brutal Bitter or a Sierra Nevada Torpedo, but strong enough that it has great flavour. It also pours and feels like beer.

My fasting window is roughly 11am-4pm daily. At the beginning, that was hard. And, it still is a bit of a drag waiting until 11am to eat. But now I have my faux IPA as a treat. I've been having one or two past 4pm. So far, it hasn't interfered. Regardless, the IPAs are only 90 calories for a big can.

I'm sticking with my goal of being 30 lbs lighter by April 1st. But since I'm already 20 lbs lighter at the point, there may be some additional weight loss. And if possible, I'll keep it up. However, I'm house/pet sitting, so I'll be moving somewhere in April. Need a sitter? :)
