I ran my first uninterrupted 5k yesterday!! It felt tremendous! What a difference being in a cooled gym makes! I usually stopped at 2.5k before due to overheating, but with the fan blowing in my face, there was no deterrent! I could have gone on for longer too -- I finally figured out what people mean by runner's high -- but I had to prepare to go to work. I'm really proud of myself :-D
I think I'll give myself a day's rest (for running at least) and come back full force tomorrow. Asides from the scheduled elliptical training at the gym tonight, I think I might pull out my beloved rollerblades! I haven't put them on all year.
