I'm not going the scale get in the way of how proud I am of my workout today. I went out there and ran 5k in two sets of 2.5k. I've never been able to run over 1.5k at a time, but today I have reserves of energy I really didn't know existed. God, that Musclespeed is miraculous. I took the full dose 2 tablets) and I was unstoppable. I would have probably run the whole thing in one shot, but the stitch in my side was too painful to bare to I stopped to walk for 200 meters.

Too bad the scale doesn't reflect all of the hard work I've been putting in lately. I've been averaging 1.5 workouts a day for that last 5 days and this morning the scale indicates that my weight has actually gone up instead of down!!! grrr! I know, I know, it's probably a gain in muscle mass and water retention, but it really put a damper on my enthusiasm. It's ok. I musn't focus on the short-term, the long-term accomplishments are far more important, besides, my heart-health is improving by leaps and bounds; this morning's workout is proof.

gotta get back to work, but I hope to have enough fuel left for tonight's workout.

Thats great!! I love running! My short-term goal is to be able to run 5k in one stretch. The longest I've been able to is 3.5k. Keep at it. I've heard of the runner's high (apparently after you run often enough about 20 - 25 mins into the run you're on this high and get tired at a much lower rate because you are all warmed up) and really want to experience it! I've switched to the elliptical trainer in recent weeks just to switch things up a bit and did about 5.6k on that in 30 mins. Im interested to see what it'll be like when I switch back to the treadmill. Keep it up!!!
