My scales weigh lighter than the doctor's scales, so I may actually weigh more than 286.2 lb. on the doctor's scales. I'm seeing an endocrinologist who put me on a 1500 calorie diet one week ago. He also prescribed B-50 complex and niacin to add to a supplement plan that already includes Vitamin D once a week, Oscal twice a day and a Centrum 50+ for Men multivitamin daily. Right now, I'm also taking mulberry extract in pill form now and then.
On June 8, I developed a microscopic fracture in my left knee for no apparent reason other than excess weight. The last three months have included a wheelchair initially and a cane and crutches until just last week. I don't want to continue breaking my bones because of excess weight, and this has been a motivator for me to get back on the diet.
I will go to the gym again as soon as the orthopedist advises me it is safe to exercise with machines. Meanwhile, swimming and biking are apparently safe ways to exercise.
