I seem to be stuck and going up and down 2 pounds. I do fine all day, but in the evenings after dinner I battle with snack cravings. I'm trying to come up with low or no carbs and very low calorie snacks. I could use some tips to fight the cravings and strengthen my willpower. My blood sugar is consistently lower than two months ago which is a good thing. I wear a pedometer and though I'm nowhere near that 10,000 step mark, I have increased my exercise. Writing this has made me feel better. I guess confession really is good for the soul. Hope you all have a blessed and successful day. 🙏

Hi Ru. Would you say your night snacking is due to hunger or craving? If you’re truly hungry, eat: nutritious options. Or perhaps readjust the size of your dinner so you don’t get hungry later.

It's definitely craving. I know this may sound silly, but I quit smoking in 1997 and I have never found anything to replace that last cigarette. I'm going to beat this. I sure appreciate any ideas.

I have the same problem with evenings. Two things have helped me: 1) making sure i eat properly during the day so i'm not overly hungry at night 2) i like to sip on something, like herbal tea, that i enjoy but is low/no cal.

Just a couple of possibilities, I do something that requires hands and mind, like puzzles or needlework. The other option is to allow calories and plan a snack into your end of day. Some days are just tough, but if this is daily give yourself a chapter in a book and a square of dark chocolate.
