'm meeting a friend to walk in 3.5 hours and can't sleep! Work has been so stressful the last few weeks, and I find myself waking up around 1:30 every morning. I've also been sick and had gone back up to almost 248. I starting with the wii fit again Tuesday and try to squeeze in 5000 steps while I'm at work. It's amazing, I can cut my calories in half and nothing. I can spend a weekend just eating fresh fruits and veggies and nothing. Moving makes all the difference for me. It is really nice to be able to move again. Three months ago it was almost painful to reach up and shut a cabinet door. I couldn't make it a quarter of a mile before I had to sit and rest. For months I thought it was because I had gotten so fat that it was difficult to move. Found out it was a severe vitamin d deficiency. The doctor's office called yesterday and said that it was still very low, but it's gone from 9 to 17. Doc wants to see it between 40 and 50. I can walk three miles now, the numbness in my hands and feet is gone, the weird muscles spasms have stopped, my fingernails have smoothed back out, my hair has stopped falling out, my joints don't have the horrible sharp pains, body pain in general has lessened. Holy cow! It's crazy that one little vitamin deficiency can screw you up so completely, and I've been to a zillion doctors and they've never tested my vitamin d levels. My levels are still very low, and I still feel exhausted half of the time. I can only imagine how I will feel when everything is back in the normal range.
