It's amazing how careful counting and hard excercise can get you nice losses of a pound a day or so, but one night of drinking followed by a day of inactivity, donuts and bread with sandwiches (even though it was only 500 calories over my limit) can produce a gain of 4 pounds in 48 hours!🙄
315.0 lb Lost so far: 33.0 lb.    Still to go: 15.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I believe it. No one never thinks about the good they put in their mouth when all you want to do is eat a good meal.

Though, as you probably know, the scale is affected by water (influenced by changes in carb and sodium intake) gains and losses, not just changes in fat mass.

I find that no matter what I do 2 Days Later I can tell if I lose weight from what I ate more games but the results are always two days later

Just grin and bear down and burn those calories that are making you feel guilty. That's what I do. I walk longer, harder, faster, or I move more intensely while working out during my cardio/aerobic sessions. It's all good. Just look at it like I do, now, you have extra-energy to help you burn harder/longer/faster....lol (*_-)

Beer is a KILLER! I had to make the switch to wine. Way less carbs and calories and my body doesn’t bloat and retain water like it does with beer. Now beer is saved for special occasions. A footie game or camping :)

It'll "whoosh" off in 2 days. Beer does that to me. That's why I switched to red wine and vodka. (and don't weigh in on Mondays:)

. I actually watched a video on this exact topic, and it is because your liver is too busy processing the alcohol that it can barely process anything else, so your calorie limit may actually be much lower after a night of drinking. so give your body some time to "catch up" so to speak.

yep, happened to me this past weekend. two 230 calorie drinks, two egg rolls and chicken and steak hibachi from our local Chinese restaurant. Boom! 5lbs 😱 back to normal Sunday morning. 💪

It is a temporary spike. Everyone needs a break from time to time. We have all been there. You are still doing awesome.

Thank you everyone for all the support and great comments! It wasn't beer, it started as two strawberry margaritas at the mexican restaurant. It turned into...ummm... A LOT of bourbon on the front porch catching up with family we hadn't seen in a long time. Don't know if the type makes a difference or not? That's interesting about your body being busy processing the alcohol and not being able to process your food as quickly. Makes sense. I'm not overly worried about it. I like the way I eat now and the results I'm getting are proof that I'm doing at least ok at it! Those pounds will come right back off!💪 Thanks again to everyone that commented!
