I cheated yesterday and this is the result. I doubt that the two donuts that I ate created over of a pound of weight gain, but obviously, they didn't help. I am paying for my indiscretion today.

Ok, here's the deal. I have to cut the carbs and that means loosing bread, biscuits, and tortillas. Anything like that is disaster because I know that it just defeats my objective of reaching my goal weight.

Unfortunately, I have several foods that I flat refuse to give up like pizza and popcorn. However, I have managed to restrict myself to a very reasonable level of intake. I almost never have pizza because I know how very bad it is for my diet even though I believe it to be the perfect food that combines all of the food groups into a single product. My problem is that I am going to eat half a pizza pie if given any chance and I can't stop once I start. Therefore, I reserve this special treat for only once in a great while, like once a quarter.

Popcorn is my other soul food and I absolutely love it. I refuse to give it up but I have limited it to weekends only and no topping except salt. That's still bad, but I budget for it accordingly, sort of, and restrict my other intake on Friday night and Saturday night. Movies just aren't the same without popcorn. If'n I can manage to be busy on a Friday or Saturday night, then I have no problem skipping my bonus treat.

Now, maybe I can coerce my wife into having more dates on Saturday night?...That shouldn't be too hard...Onward and downward to 200 lbs!
224.2 lb Lost so far: 3.8 lb.    Still to go: 24.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
