Since this drop falls well outside the window of a surplus day, which isn't for another 2 weeks, is not due to any unprecedented calorie burn, cold, and or bug that causes dehydration (indeed, I hydrated very well yesterday) - it's what I refer to as a true drop.

...and definitively below the 112-114 lb. weight range I have set for this body.

So, I think this ole body of mine is sayin'

"INCREASE THE FUEL, LADY!!!"

Take Note: I have not lessened calories in anyway this week and still adhered to the 1890/day calorie allotment.

Beginning in September, and true to the "reverse diet" method - I increased daily cals 2% five different times after hitting 110.8 lbs.

So, this is indeed a new low.

After the fifth increase, I leveled out at around 112.6 lbs, which was absolutely okay, and have been maintaining between 112-114 lbs since the beginning of November.

This will be the 6th increase by 2%.

Here are the new daily calorie targets.

I stagger the weekly allotment.

On Average 1927 cals/day (6th Reverse diet increase by 2%). This accounts for maintenance cals and activity level for age 47.

Monday - 1899 --> 1936
Tuesday - 1919 --> 1956
Wednesday - 2176 --> 2213
Thursday - 1899 --> 1936
Friday - 1722 --> 1759
Saturday - 1722 --> 1759
Sunday - 1899 --> 1936

I will also continue to keep the one surplus day/month in as the "active" season has not begun, yet. We still have a little bit to go before spring arrives.

Same "reverse diet" rules apply. If I show up at 111 or less anytime this week, cals will increase by another 2% for the next week's calorie allotment. If not, I will hold steady.

Here we go folks!

Notes for personal use: Since using the reverse diet method to find maintenance cals for my desired weight range, the calorie calculator I consistently use indicates I am eating 145 calories more per day than a woman my age (47) and activity level, and current weight should eat. And, that would be to maintain 110 lbs.

I'm eating 130 calories more per day to maintain 112 lbs.

Conclusion: I'm perty darn good with that!
110.6 lb Lost so far: 99.4 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 9.8 lb a week

I know, right Chris! LOL - I think the hinge that trips folks up about the reverse diet method is it does requires patience. I'm the first to say when I was coming off of deficit cals after hitting the first goal, I wanted to be done with the deficit! It was a tough pill to swallow knowing I was only going to start increases about 30 plus cals more per/day. But, of course you know this girl's curiosity was wayeeeee to strong. And, the truth is since I kept losing, I was able to continue increasing weekly even if it was only by 2% - it certainly felt better than deficit cals. And, yes who the heck doesn't like to watch the scale continue to drop even if the caloric increases are minimal - it quickly adds up. But, this point is actually the part of that whole method I love the most. I hit the 150 lbs goal back in August of 2018 and this metabolism is "still adapting"!!! I'm not just adding cals to find maintenance cals, I'm actually increasing because I'm trying to maintain! If we add that 4000 plus calorie surplus day I couch in per month, this 5'2, 111 lb 47 year post menopausal woman is technically eating over 2000 cals/day on average. And, that is some pretty amazing metabolic adaptation. I wasn't even able to eat that many cals to maintain 162-168 lb. range in my thirties! I think if folks are willing to be in it for the long haul and want to eventually increase the amount they eat without gaining weight, the reverse diet approach is definitely worth a try.

Awww, thanks Chris and will do! {{Hugs}} I'm really curious to see just how much this metabolism can adapt to incremental increases in cals. I remember in one article a question was asked with regards to how one can level out and NOT have to increase cals on a reverse diet. Surprisingly, the response was "cut down or cut out cardio". But, makes sense. I do get in a fair amount of cardio in, but it's not intensive. My strength and weights still exceed it by a small margin. But, will I ever become one of those reverse dieters who finally says, "Enough! I can't eat any more!!!" LOL Oh, the irony...
