Egull1's Journal, 24 January 2021

One of the things I've done with this week's weigh-in data is take my own average of the 3 lows of the week to determine where this body's weight is closest to outside the amount of bulk or fluids I'm carrying at any given moment.

My average low is about 112.6 lbs.

I'm using the "average low" as the weight for devices like my fitbit and the recumbent bike.

At this weight and body fat percentage, the bottom line is this body won't let go of fat very easily. To be sure, this metabolism runs a couple hundred cals less per day than it did 98 lbs. ago.

It has officially adapted and as well it should!

It's doing exactly what it needs to be doing. I don't need to lose anymore fat or weight for that matter! LOL. Anything below 20% is pretty dang lean for a woman and I assess I'm around 17-18%.

These hips can't get any smaller, if they did I'd be losing bone!

That being stated, the closest I am to assessing my actual weight outside of waste and water, also provides increased accuracy when it comes to calorie burn, and helps to assess any potential cal increases or decreases in the future.

Note: Cal burn on any device will never be completely accurate. It's just a baseline, but plugging in the average low from my weigh-ins will give me a good idea of where I'm at.

On that note, next Saturday is this girl's surplus day for the month - wooohooooo! ---> Insert happy dance.

And, oh yes...Imma eat aaalllll the things! LOL. No cal limits on the surplus day this time. We need a 4000 plus if this belly can fit it in. I don't know if it can, but y'all know I'll try! LOL

Its JJ's bar and grill we'll be partaking in. I'm already drooling :-)

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone and don't forget to remember you are the biggest blessing in your day :-)

Glad to see people being realistic about BF percentage. There is no need to go lower than that, as you said. There comes a point of diminishing returns.

True that, LC - I worked really hard to increase the muscle mass on this form. Dipping below that BF percentage runs the risk of losing all the lean mass I worked so hard to gain. At 5'2 I maintain around 1900 cals/day. That monthly surplus day also takes me pretty close to the 2000/day mark when all is said and done. Which, is dang good for a 5'2 - 47 year old post menopausal woman. My activity level has actually decreased since summer, which is normal but likely served my metabolism well. However, I'm rolling into this spring/summer (i.e. my active season) with a LOT less body fat and weight than I had last year. I think this year if I drop any lower than 112 before the pool opens in June - I'll couch that second surplus day/month in a little earlier this year.
