Well, I have done reasonably well on my diet, but must admit that social outings have increased this past couple of weeks and I am simply maintaining, which actually is surprising since I have fallen off the wagon so to speak on several occasions. I keep fluctuating between 145 and 147. I am still walking every day, but I am pretty discouraged that I cannot seem to get below 145 lbs. I have lost 6 lbs since the first of the year, not very impressive. When I get discouraged, I eat things not on my diet plan, like vanilla ice cream cones from McDonalds, and bread products. I do not keep these items in the house, but when I am forced to eat out or at my daughter's house, I end up eating stuff not on my plan. I think it is sad that one has to be so stringent on a diet to lose weight. I feel like I really have to limit myself in order to lose weight. Most of the time I am only eating meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. I know if I cut out fruit I will most likely lose more weight, but it is hard to do so. I usually drink a whey protein fruit shake for breakfast. And then I have a small snack of fruit later on in the day.
145.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 25.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
