So, funny thing about returning to work. Here I thought my activity level might be less and I would start to level out. But, low and behold the office needs to have a thorough wipe down in the morning and before I leave for the day. The length of that office is about the size of one full block with 5 offices and 2 meeting rooms. One of those meeting rooms has a meeting table that is 17 feet long to fit all of us. LOL.

I'm the receptionist/office manager/spec formatter, so of course I volunteered to do it because Mechanical Engineers can do a lot of things, but err...making sure things are consistently sanitized is not one of them. I'm lucky if they can manage to put their dishes in the dishwasher. Usually, I resort to banging dishes around and cursing loudly that their wives are friggin saints, and then they're good about it for a while.

Anyhow, needless to say when step counts are reaching the 20,000 mark in a day and, some of your go-to restaurants are still closed - pounds are going to get lost. I even cut my workouts in half just to lower the activity level but, there ya have it. Oh well, the pool opens on June 1 along with a lot of other things and I will be adding that extra surplus day/month as well as an extra 100 cals to my weekend. At this point, I'm still healthy, able to lift heavier and am currently waiting on my 20 lb dumbbells and 30 lb kettlebell to arrive. It's all good...I'm still eating very well and healthy and that is what matters most!

Have a blessed holiday weekend, everyone!

You sound like you are busy and a realist. I don't know what it is about dishes but many people delude themselves that there is a dish fairy or that their dishes are just so few that they don't count! I used to be the dish person at work. It was funny - I was the highest paid person on staff but somehow the dishes were beneath the rest of the staff! Also I had students who used the kitchen so their dishes were apart of it. Clearly someone needs to do it... so that means if it is bugging me it will be me doing them! Took me awhile to be less frustrated about it. In the end, it was fine.
