HAPPY NEW YEAR! I feel like I have come back into the light! TOM is still late, so it's probably because I'm not perpetually PMSing. LOL! (In part, at least.) It was a wonderful Christmas. The kids (my son and his GF) dropped by unexpectedly on Christmas Eve and joined us for dinner before having to head back to her family celebration. They came back afterward, watched "A Christmas Story" with us, and spent the night so we could do our Christmas morning together. They originally planned to go to her sister's afterward, but they decided to stay with us for the day! We all headed out for Chinese, came back to the house to pack up, then they headed off to her Aunts for the evening. It was such a nice surprise to be able to spend so much time with them for the holidays. I got through my first solo wedding gig. That was nerve-wracking, but fun and done. Phew! I am still waiting for a phone call about the injection. They are supposed to have referred me to ANOTHER doctor closer to my home. I have left 3 messages for them to let me know who that is so I can follow up with them. I received one call back, but all she could tell me was that a referral was sent. Whomever sent it did not indicate where she sent it in the notes. I expected a call back with that information, yet I've still heard nothing. The messages I left for them today were not as upbeat and sunshiny as I usually leave. Their outgoing message does not indicate they are out of the office today. I have no more gigs on the books until June, although I suspect our schedule will begin to fill up starting in May. I begin physical therapy on the 2nd and I'm hoping this injection will get me back to optimal performance level (and exercising) again!

Finally got the call!! Apparently my local hospital does not perform injections through radiology like other hospitals. My options were to be referred to their orthopedic office to become a patient and be re-assessed, or be referred to a hospital 45 minutes away who will perform the injection based on current assessments. My injection appointment is the 30th. Thank goodness I got that done this year! :D
