So I’m struggling with eating clean in this cooling weather (my house is colder than outside so I’m halfway in winter already🥶). My body wants starch, potatoes, bread, pasta🙇🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ My saving grace has been exercising daily at home and intermittent fasting, otherwise I’d be eating ALL day! I am / should be on Keto lifestyle but have upped my carb intake to probably 80g - 100g per day, but I’ve been good with limiting sugar (like sweets and chocolates) and having oranges instead! Thankfully, because of the hectic exercise programme, haven’t gained (or lost 🙇🏽‍♀️) but clothes hanging off me.

How’s everyone else coping with clean eating in this cooling weather?
155.0 lb Lost so far: 30.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I love vegetables and soups. Soups I find very satisfying - my current favourites are butternut with crispy bacon bits and feta cheese, and then spicy tomato with roasted red pepper. I also do IF, and have found that this cold weather coupled with fasting makes me very chilly in the mornings which I'm not used to, so I'm drinking a lot more coffee than I ever have before.

Also soups, as well as stir-fries and "warm salads" (basically tossing together some warm vegetables with tahini dressing for flavour, and some seeds for crunch and fats). Lots of vegetables, basically. But I'm not doing keto/low carb, so I do have sweet potatoes some days, and my soups are bulked up with lentils and a bit of barley.

I take my comfort food in the form of liquids at the moment because I'm too busy studying to bother with cooking. I'm drinking beef/chicken broth, coffee, flavored tea. Once exams are done, I'll probably do more indian/thai curries and stews, served with fresh vegetables - I don't enjoy cooked vegetables. I'm also on Keto...

Wait...I actually do like some cooked vegetables😅😂. My winter favourites are creamy spinach, grilled asparagus, creamy mushrooms, and gemsquash with butter 🤤

Consider upping your fat intake somewhat as well. Helps for me and I stay in the mountains. So SS has a great point with the creamy veggies.
