Jbber's Journal, 06 April 2019

There are days it feels just crazy..knowing you are eating right at your 1000 calories, maybe a few less, and you get on the scale, and have gained weight! I even went to a weight clinic, but the doc there, before even asking me if I was serious, or what I wanted, started the conversation by adamantly declaring she was NOT going to operate and give me a bypass surgery, so I shouldn't even think about asking for it. I had no intention of asking for one...never even crossed my mind.
The next time I saw her, she yelled at me for only losing 11 pounds in a month! Said I should have lost a lot more and I wasn't serious and wasn't following her diet. Imagine her surprise when I told her she had NOT even given me a diet to follow. Instead, when I asked her about a diet - what foods she thought I should eat, etc., she simply said to keep eating the same foods I had been eating, then turned around and walked out of the room, and that was it! I decided that is not the kind of help I need. I told my primary doc and he was appalled! Back to square one. Guess I'll do this on my own. So my first step has been to carefully select each day what I am going to eat and stick to it, and then I joined the gym. Plus, on nice days like today, I will be out walking as much as I can tolerate.
189.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 49.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
steady weight
