OK, we invited a dinner guest to join us last night and, unbeknownst to me, she brought a bottle of wine! So-o-o-o-o, do I tell a lovely 90-year-old lady that I've already had my quota of wine for the week (Fridays and one other day, which had already been Sunday)? Of course not. Impeccable manners required that I join in. And, just to be super, super considerate, I had TWO glasses! Still came in close to my daily calorie goal (1200). And we had a ball. If I have to choose between a lively, fun evening and losing a few ounces, I'll choose the fun. But I don't do that every day.
