OK - I have 12.5 pounds to go to reach a new goal weight. I was doing a semi-hybrid Dukan regimen, that after an initial loss of 8 pounds, was leaving me in a 2 - 3 pound up and down loop for a couple of weeks. I did get encouragement from losing the 8 pounds and at the very least it was a mind clarifying cleanse, but I am going back to my usual weightloss tactics with a bit more consciousness to take in enough protein, which I think has been a fault of my old regimens.
So my usual regimen is to pay attention to portion control, yoga and a good amount of activity. I'm feeling quite fit as I have been true to maintaining a yoga practice of an hour every other day generally.
With the protein high Dukan-like diet, I wondered if I was gaining in muscle, while losing fat. Probably, I believe. I could not see any of this transformation by watching the scale. Perhaps I should have put a tape measure to my waist hips etc. I may do that today to have a base line for the future.
157.5 lb Lost so far: 10.7 lb.    Still to go: 17.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

yes you should take measurements as not all benefits come on the scale, when I don't drop for a while I notice fat loss and better fitting clothes
