redgirl1974's Journal, 25 May 2016

yesterday was rough and i didn't get anything done and didn't workout bc of my carpel crap but I woke up feeling good today and only about 15% of the pain/pressure which in comparison to the 100% I felt yesterday, that's pretty darn good. I got my HITT in and it was a true HITT work out and I feel good. Work just changed me back to my dream schedule (930-630) so Im back to working out mornings starting tomorrow. My awesome pawesome plan to start my new program at the gym this week failed but hey, life intervenes and we have to roll with the punches. Im doing what I can, when I can and will be where I want to be real soon. The meds make a hungry AF so Im doing my best to control that and using today for some more meal prep. Making lunches for th/fr/sat since Im off today and measure out protein shakes and almonds into little baggies and all that. Super rewarding and makes me happy. I always post these elaborate weekly plans and after being down and out bc of my back and now this carpel sh!t, I decided to focus on today. Today I feel good and I got stuff done. Ill make my plan for tomorrow and hope I wake up and feel good again, and if dont, then Ill just do what I can.. I am grateful for what I got and Im not ever gonna quit. I HOPE to get some lower body and abs this week and I HOPE to start my new "goddess" plan on Monday. Thanks every one for support and believing in me and encouraging me every day .. xoxo..

Amazon sells Ipow wrist wraps for lifting. If you've got carpel tunnel, you should be looking into getting a pair. Hand and wrist bones are small. They need support when things get heavy, and heavy is relative. I wrap them for each lift above 80% of my maximum lift. I'd never lift without them on bench. 200 pound lockouts would be far too tough without them. It's not cheating. It's protecting yourself, and if you're putting them on at a % threshold, you hands, wrists, and tendons are still getting stronger.

Good. Protect yourself. It's the most important thing you can do for everyone in your family. If you're not healthy, everyone feels the weight of it.

I thought all women were goddess's already so why do you need a plan :)

HCB. Are they wide enough to give you the support? I used mine last night on my previous lockout weight which had left me hurting with the straps, and this time with the straps all was comfortable. 5 - 200 pound lockouts for 15 seconds. Pecs were jumping!
