OK today is the day! Feeling somewhat like myself again and the pressure is easing up on my hands.Yesterday I got in a killer HITT work out at lunch but was spent by the afternoon and did not get in my upper body circuit. BUT, Im gonna start off today where I left off yesterday. I will not be kept down or out. I used my time last night to meal prep like a pro for today and got lunch and dinner done all but the fresh salad. DH bought me a salad dressing shaker that Im dying to try out and plan to mix my own Italian today. Breakfast was a snap and I am omitting things from this new plan like oatmeal bc mine comes out horrible and brown rice bc mine comes out horrible AND i dont want to stray from my low carb roots and I honestly hate the taste of both now. The only non low carb thing I made is a sweet potato.. but I measured it out and plan to only eat that 1-2 times a week if at all bc Im on the fence about the taste.. and I got some rice cakes but those are only 7 net carbs so not too bad and plan to top those with peanut butter BUT only as a am snack and only 2-3 times a week. We will see at the end of the day what my total net is and then Ill adjust from there as needed. I stole a play from Majohn's play book and got these cute little tuppers to make my meals ahead a time and double up on every thing so I have a meal for me and one for the kid.. I cant wait till Wednesday when I meal prep for the rest of the week bc i got things like broccoli and kale waiting for me.. hehe Doing my best to get back in the game and push thru the discomfort of carpel tunnel. Found some hand exercises and those seemed to help. wish me luck! Imma need it. cheers and hugs for everyone !

Have you tried butternut squash? It is similar to sweet potato but less carbs. Nice orange color and denser texture than zucchini and yellow squash. Losing weight is supposed to help carpal tunnel too - so you are doing all the right things!

Re the carpal tunnel. My husband had it so badly that none of the Western medicine things were working (aka anti-inflammatories, physical therapy, etc.) and they were recommending surgery as a last resort. A colleague recommended acupuncture and, although he is super skeptical about non-traditional modalities, he figured he had nothing to lose so tried it. In just one appointment his pain was reduced by almost 50% and within five appointments, the carpal tunnel pain was gone completely!! He goes in twice a year now or when it flares up, but the acupuncture really worked for him. Good luck!!

I am so glad you found some hand exercises. I know if you keep doing them it will bring you relief. I was getting close to having that operation years ago but so many people I knew had it and it didn't help or helped briefly and my kids were young at that time and I wouldn't have any help and I am just so happy I stuck to the exercises and away from the surgery. Have a great day and have fun meal prepping.

OK so sadly Im not going to the gym today.. the pain has increased and is really uncomfortable. Im going back to dr tomorrow. Its sad bc I remember one time I was asked what was my ideal vision of health and wellness as I get older and I remember saying I never wanted to lose the freedom and mobility that I enjoy by working out and I didnt want to see my self in pain or on meds, and this was me imagining my 60's. Im in my 40's and just want to die today from the constant discomfort. MY spirit remains strong as I have heart of lion and will head to dr tomorrow and try again ..all i can do is watch my diet and rest...
