good day! still sore I pulled my back the other day working out I guess or I slept wrong afterward, but carefully getting my weight work done. I only log about half my time here because other sites do not credit much calorie burn. but I feel at the weight I am at, I am burning more then what I do on the beginner work on the total gym. I do 2 kinds of I guess they would be butterfly and leg lifts. several series and the weight is 50 pound per side. so 100 total. My pull up type exercise I am doing several series of pulls at 160. I am going to increase the weight by 10 pounds on the butterfly thing as I am getting bored doing more and more series. so upping the weight again and cutting down how long I am working.

I wish I had a book on the bowflex to know what to call the exercises, and how to discover how much calories the work outs are. the machine is old and the booklets I looked up are nothing like it really. Oh well.

Now I went to publix and grabbed a couple greenwise ribeyes on sale, went there to get some bones to make a bone broth, which is cooking away now. they did not have anything cheap in the case so I asked at the meat window, they have frozen bones just for that, around $2 a pound and while I was there he was trimming a big piece of steak meat, he gave me a nice sized package of fat, no charge. we laughed about that, they have a price for everything but no one has asked them for the fat. LOL! Put a little in the soup pot but keeping the rest to fry up as I need it.

I am not good at computer stuff, if I have to download something to my computer I guarantee to mess it up! but thank you Chris, it would be a help. I looked up some manuals on the bowflex and printed some upper body ones. I have not been using it properly I guess. I can't do anything that I don't have support for my back so I am very limited on the thing. another reason I have to build up on the total gym. more exercises I can eventually build on. leg work is very slow until my calves get right. but I do what I can.

oh and I been eating ribeyes every day as I am adjusting to this new eating plan. I know it is a hardship. LOL! but tonight it is chicken from Costco, my husband got a bird from a customer today and is bringing it home for me to try. He loves it.

yep, I can suffer everyday on this! tonight I stuffed myself with the chicken all dark meat, threw the rest of the chicken in the bone broth I have been cooking from the beef bones, this should add a bit of flavor to those dull bones. I ate way too much but still around my maintenance number especially after all my exercise.

MyZone Belt will measure everything, heart beat, Calories, MEPs, etc. Although, the heart beat needs to reach the 50% level before it measures.

I have considered getting one of those but I am not good at computer things. probably mess something up with the programming. and no chris I did not, learning as I go. I saw someone said to roast the bones, but the chicken addition really put the taste factor into overdrive, I will try that the next time I get the beef bones. I can't do seasonings right now, but salt is okay.

Great bargain on the bones and free fat! It is always great to ask a butcher for those odds and ends because they usually will give them to you pretty cheap. Enjoy your weight machine - that sounds great to have one at home!

I never thought about asking the butchers at Publix for their disgards. Good idea! I had a ribeye in the fridge and forgot about it. Ate burger instead :( You should try google for bow flex names. They may have them listed.
