If you cheat on God (just a little!), do you get punished just a little too??
Like, maybe routed off to a middle ground b/w heaven and hell and left in a LIMBO there, and miss that cushy spot in heaven? :) loL! well, jokes or unanswerable questions apart, I do have to confess and admit guilt and wrong-doing. I have been really good for 6 days--perfect, actuaally!--on my contract with God, and been avoiding temptations and eating right, cooking, etc. But on the 7th day, I crumbled a little, and at my friend's b'day party, ended up having 1 tbsp of pasta, 1 serving of mousse, and 4 thin cookies and 2 crackers. I'm going to HELL now, right??!!!! What was I thinking? Well, apparently I wasn't...I tried to stay strong for a while despite everyone's urgings to eat at the party...I ate just the right things for a while such an roasted veggies, stuffed tomatoes with middle-eastern cheese (labne?) and harissa, garlic/wine mushrooms...avoided the wine or champagne. But for some reason decided to cave and help myself to 1 spoon of pasta and later mousse, and that's when my diet enterred a confused zone of no-man's land and wonderment about what's allowed still and what not now that i've ruined the diet!!
The next day was hard to get back up again despite all the guilt etc..but I ate right: 3 atkins bars, and 1 spinach salad with cheese and oil dressing.
No exercise Fri,Sat, or Sun!!!
Need to start right today! I'm just gonna continue the induction right where I left off. But have to decide what penance to make coz I reneged on the contract.

i can't get past the bold and red headlines! lol I think that God knew you were gonna be in the presense of temptation and though you shoulnd't make contracts with the Lord unless you expect to fully keep that promise, I still think he'll forgive you. Just remember one thing; (i'll probably get into trouble for saying this) if you don't want God to break promises with you, don't break them with him! let me step down from my soap box now! hee heee!

shoudn't you just say 4 cookies, instead of 4 THIN cookies!? I mean, does it make a difference if they were thin or not? a cookie is a cookie! for instance, the other day, I ATE A WHOLE PACKAGE OF BABY COOKIES! they were thin! they were also delicious...and they also stuck to my butt the next day!

Yeah, SIZE DOES make a difference!! Baby and thin ones are less egregious offences and forgiven more easily, acc to the BOOK OF AMEE!

LOL! Well, I'm afraid that according the new rules agreed upon at Vatican II (October, 1962), a single tablespoon of pasta will almost certainly cost you a thousand years in Purgatory. I'm not quite sure about the moose though. At any rate, say three Hail Mary's and two Our Father's and I'll see what I can do my child. ;-)

08, you didn't do too bad but, I think you're pennance (sp?) should be to complete induction without any mishaps....thin or fat cookies!
