I started the South Beach more out of vanity than health but realised on Wednesday that with a weight of 196.0 lb's, a 40" waist and 42" chest that my health may be a problem.

Well three days later and a loss of 5lb and 1/2" off both my waist and chest I am a happy man.

Work is a problem for my eating as I am away alot but this mornings breakfast of Calexico Middle Eastern Omelet was a joy (but added jalepeno's due to my spicy nature.............)
191.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 16.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.
losing 8.8 lb a week

Wow 5 lbs in 3 days is a great incentive for me (I'm on my first day!). Of course, men tend to lose weight faster than women, but still, great great great. Good luck and be persistent - you will find foods you can eat while away, the hard thing is not to give in to temptation!

It is really easier than you think to diet on the "outside" - stick with protein, salads and veggies and you'll be OK. Always order without sauces, or dressings - ask for them on the side. You can eat lots of those things and keep yourself full; carry protable snacks (cheeses) (nuts, etc). Good luck.
